About ‘Lake Garda – Riva del Garda’ by Thomas Bugdoll

The lively, sophisticated holiday resort of Riva del Garda lies surrounded by majestic mountains at the narrow northern tip of Lake Garda.

With a population of around 13,000, it is the second-largest town on the lake after Desenzano. It has only belonged to Italy since 1919 and was previously under Austrian rule for a long time. This is still evident today and results in a pleasant blend of Italian light-heartedness and Tyrolean down-to-earthness. The Torre Apponale towers over Riva del Garda on the eastern side of Piazza Tre Novembre. This structure was once part of Riva’s city walls and served to defend the port of Porto ad Ponalem during the 13th century. To fulfil this role, the Torre Apponale (clock tower) was built in 1220 from ashlars of varying sizes by the Bonvicino brothers.

Lake Garda, one of the Northern Italian lakes, is the largest lake in Italy, named after the municipality of Garda on its eastern shore. The northern shore of the lake is bordered by the two-thousand-metre peaks of the Garda Mountains, such as Monte Baldo, whilst the southern shore lies within the Northern Italian lowlands. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
