This peaceful corridor in a traditional pagoda at Hội An invites contemplation. Beneath a carved wooden roof, a series of hanging handcrafted lanterns gently illuminate the passageway, casting their shadows on the cream-coloured walls and dark wooden doors.
Each lantern, decorated with hand-painted floral motifs and red tassels, reflects ancestral Vietnamese craftsmanship. The red-tiled floor, solid wooden columns and louvered shutters add to the authentic charm of this sacred place.
The corridor seems timeless, with soft natural light filtering through the outside vegetation. It links the various rooms in the pagoda, probably used for prayer, meditation or welcoming the faithful.
The atmosphere, imbued with silence and respect, pays homage to Buddhist traditions and refined Vietnamese architecture. It is a place of transition between the outside and inside of the temple, between the material world and the spiritual universe. A suspended moment, where every step invites you to slow down and breathe in the serenity of the place.
