Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) was an outstanding Italian poster artist of the 20th century. He left his mark on modern advertising graphics with his original, colourful and often humorous posters. Instead of realistic depictions, he used stylised images that immediately caught the eye. His creative approach revolutionised the advertising world and continues to influence designers to this day. Known for posters such as the one for Bitter Campari, he left a lasting impression on the history of art and design.
