The Savelsbos is a narrow, whimsical slope forest, one of the most beautiful forests of South Limburg, unique for its rich flora and fauna. Under the forest the corridors of really old quarries meander. In the spring it is full of flowers in the Savelsbos. First the wood anemone blooms and then the badger garlic. It is a true delight for all your senses if you go for a walk in this unique forest during the short period of the wild garlic. And when it is damp and foggy, the scent forms a veritable explosion of tingle in your nose.
