Limousine Prince Red Mountains:A limousine (also often called a limo) is originally a vehicle with a roof for which a driver sits with an open roof. The name comes from the French limousine, a region in central France. In the Limousin region, the inhabitants wore hoods and robes that symbolised both the open and closed parts of the limousine.
Nowadays the term refers to a luxury car, which has been extended or whose passengers are driven by a driver. Often the driver sits separated from the passengers by a window or partition. The passengers usually have dark windows. Extending a vehicle does not necessarily have to be done by the manufacturer, but can also be done by a third party. Often limousines are used by rich and/or important people or are rented for parties and other occasions. As a result, the vast majority of limousines are in the hands of governments and companies, while only a single individual has his or her own limousine. Both in the United States and in Europe, most limousines are produced by independent companies: they purchase and extend luxury vehicles and build all kinds of luxury parts in or even bulletproof material and armour.
