About ‘Line and cargo’ by Johangorissenfotografie

In Elburg's historic harbour, this weathered wooden block hangs silently among ropes, masts and the soft glow of an overcast day. The world around it fades away, but this detail is razor-sharp in focus - like an anchor point of attention and craft.

The texture of the wood tells its own story: scratches, discolouration and signs of use speak of years of service on the water. The interplay with the tightly stretched ropes evokes a sense of functionality as well as aesthetics. The background, vague and moody, hints at a shipyard or port activity, but without being disturbing. Everything is subdued and balanced.

This picture is a quiet ode to simplicity and sustainability. A fragment that you might normally pass by is here elevated to a protagonist. The image exudes tranquillity, but also connection - to tradition, to craft, to a sea of stories.

Ideal for interiors where natural materials, maritime atmosphere or vintage details are allowed a place. A work that is small in subject, but grand in appearance.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
