This work shows a young male Lion (Panthera leo) with the carcass of a Gemsbok. This carcass is the remnant of the prey caught a day earlier. During the night, this large antelope was almost completely torn apart and eaten by a pride of three lions. The lion inspects whether there is anything edible left on the almost bare carcass. The picture was taken in the desert of western Namibia.
