About ‘Liquid Love’ by Saskia de Wal

Liquid Love is a series of still lifes in which culinary ingredients are transformed into pure visual art. For this series, I worked with exclusive ingredients from a Michelin-starred restaurant, bringing together flavour, texture, colour and composition in a sensory photographic experience.

In this work, liquids, sheen, transparency and organic forms take centre stage. Ingredients are removed from their familiar context and reconstructed into an image that balances between food, fine art and abstraction. What is normally meant to be tasted becomes, here, something to be experienced with the eyes.

The inspiration for Liquid Love stems from the sensuality of food: the way in which taste, desire and beauty intersect. I did not simply want to capture ingredients, but to make the emotion surrounding them visible. The tension between control and spontaneity, between luxury and transience, between perfection and fluid chaos.

The rich details, deep colours and sculptural composition give this work a powerful and refined aura. From a distance, it is a graphic statement; up close, a world of subtle textures and surprising elements unfolds.

Liquid Love is a work of art for lovers of culinary aesthetics, luxury photography and images that bring together sensuality, abundance and refinement in a distinctive still life.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
