About ‘Little Helmlings in the light’ by Thomas Heins
This photograph was taken in October 2026 during a mushroom hunt. Normally, this is the best time of year to find delicious edible mushrooms. Unfortunately, however, the summer had been too dry, so the haul turned out to be rather modest.
Photographically speaking, I’m much more drawn to small, delicate mushrooms like these…

I'm Thomas and I've been into photography since 2021. I got into this hobby when we travelled to Scandinavia. In the beginning I only took photos with a mobile phone. But I soon realised that the possibilities with a mobile phone are limited. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first camera and from then on I got even more involved with photography.
My aim is to show the world as I see it.
