This photo, showing a little grebe feeding its chicks, is the result of patience, dedication and a passion. For some time, I had been dreaming of capturing this special moment.
One day, I saw the little grebe swimming with its chicks in a quiet little lake. Determined to get this scene on camera, I decided to lie down at the water's edge fully camouflaged. By lying flat on the ground, I was able to take a low vantage point which offered a unique perspective.
It was a matter of waiting for the little grebe to get close enough. After waiting patiently for three hours, I was finally able to take this picture. With a full SD card and a stiff neck further, I could go home satisfied and fulfilled, knowing that I had captured a unique moment.
