About ‘Living together’ by Eric Boer

What we go through does not simply disappear. Experiences change form, but remain part of who we are.

For me, ‘Existing Together’ is about how time leaves its mark on us. Not by saying goodbye to what has been, but because the past and the present can be part of us at the same time.

In the work, two human profiles can be recognised that overlap and almost merge into one another. One form is composed of dark purple and grey tones, whilst the other is light and warm yellow. Countless organic lines and structures move within both figures. Up close, almost every tiny part seems to form its own pattern.

The contrast between light and dark is intentional, but to me they are not opposites. One does not replace the other. Just as new experiences do not erase what came before. Everything we experience leaves a mark, sometimes clearly visible and sometimes almost imperceptible.

The work was created digitally in Procreate. The many flowing structures and colour variations give it an organic, almost fluid appearance. At the same time, the calm, light background ensures that the two figures remain the focal point.

For me, ‘Samen bestaan’ shows that the past and the present, light and dark, and change and memory can coexist. Together, they ultimately form a single whole.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
