Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Lonely by the sea’ by Werner Lerooy

On an almost empty sandy beach, a single small boat lies beneath the bright sunlight. The surroundings are simple and vast: sand, sky and a solitary boat. It is precisely this simplicity that gives the image a strong graphic quality. The harsh shadows cast distinct shapes on the beach and emphasise the loneliness of the small vessel.

There is no hustle and bustle, no horizon filled with ships, and no human presence. The boat seems momentarily detached from the world, quietly awaiting the next moment when it will take to the water again. This simplicity lends the photograph an almost meditative quality.

The strong sunlight creates a sharp contrast between light and shadow, whilst the sand forms a warm, natural backdrop. The composition is minimalist, yet not empty: it is precisely the vast amount of space surrounding it that makes the small boat particularly striking.

As a work of art on the wall, this image brings tranquillity and space to an interior. It allows the viewer to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a moment and invites a moment of calm. A simple coastal scene that, precisely because of its restraint, becomes powerful — serene, timeless and surprisingly expressive.
