Tiendweg Kooiwijk is a centuries-old narrow road built on a dike (peat quay) between the canals in the peat meadow area. Pollard willows grow on both sides. In the photo, the already almost bare pollard willows are reflected in the slippery water surface of the canal. The backlight photo was taken on a sunny and windless morning in the autumn season near the Dutch village of Oud-Alblas, municipality of Molenlanden in the Alblasserwaard (province of South Holland). The still low-lying sun casts long shadows on the grass.
