Georg Scholz (Wolfenbüttel, Lower Saxony, Germany, 10 October 1890-27 November 1945) was a German realistic painter.
The artist received his artistic training at the Karlsruhe Academy in Baden-Württemberg. Later he studied in Berlin with Lovis Corinth. In 1919 Scholz became a member of the Communist Party.
Scholz soon became one of the leaders of the New Objectivity, a group of artists who practiced a cynical form of realism. By 1925, however, his approach had softened to something closer to neoclassicism.
