About ‘Magic Dolphins - Black Blue - Horizontal’ by Pieter Parlevliet

On the bow, the most forward part of a ship, I look over the railing and saw a pod of dolphins swimming and jumping in front of the ship while bioluminescent plankton illuminated their movement. They do this to hitch a ride using the ship to propel them forward and at the same time they look like having a great time. When working at sea I have the navigation watch of 00:00 am until 04:00 am. It’s a tough schedule because your bio-rhythm is all confused and it is always dark. However it is also the most quite time of day as everyone else is sleeping and the night skies can be amazing in the middle of the ocean, far away from any light pollution. After my watch I would make a safety round of the ship, see if everything is oke and nothing on fire.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
