Maki F101 Formula 1 car.
Maki Engineering was a Formula 1 constructor from Japan. The small team competed in the 1974 Formula 1 World Championship. After Honda withdrew at the end of the 1968 season, Maki was the second Japanese team to compete in the world championship.
The first race they entered what the 1974 British Grand Prix. In this, New Zealand driver Howden Ganley piloted the only Maki F101. However, he failed to qualify and then severely injured his legs during the second race in Germany. As a result, the team pulled out to repair and improve the car in Japan.
This picture was taken on 23 June 2024 during the Historic Grand Prix at the Zandvoort circuit.
