Cap Formentor is perhaps the most beautiful and spectacular viewpoint on the entire island. To the north-east of Port de Pollença, a kilometre-long headland leads out to sea and huge rock formations jut out into the sea where the Serra de Tramuntana mountain region ends.
The view of the last hairpin bends of the road to the lighthouse is very famous. Here you can see the scenery from a slightly different perspective.
Mallorca is an island belonging to Spain in the western Mediterranean, about 170 kilometres from the Spanish mainland near Barcelona. It is the largest island in the Balearic Islands group. Mallorca is also home to the capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma de Mallorca. Mallorca is the largest island belonging to Spain and the seventh largest island in the Mediterranean.
The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range up to 15 kilometres wide with 11 peaks over 1000 metres high, which runs parallel to the north-west coast. The mountains stretch over 90 kilometres from the island of Sa Dragonera in the southwest to Cap Formentor in the north.
