Admire, marvel, how beautiful nature is......
Take the extraordinary beauty of this particular insect, the meadow damselfly. At first glance, it looks like a butterfly. A closer look reveals that it is a damselfly, a type of dragonfly. Most striking are the males. They are beautifully blue in colour and have dark blue spots on the wings. You can find them along the bank of a stream, near lightly flowing water. When they are ready to start the day, the meadow damselfly does not fly but flutters along the water's edge.
This meadow damselfly hung out to dry in the helicopter position. Ready for yet another day.
