As a photographer, I am always drawn to places where history, nature and beauty come together. The Pont Valentré in Cahors is a perfect example. This impressive 14th-century bridge, with its sturdy towers and elegant arches, tells stories of times gone by, but at the same time exudes a timeless serenity.
At the time of photography, the sky was slowly closing in, giving the landscape a soft, mysterious atmosphere. The light reflected in the calm waters of the Lot river and created a mirror image that looked almost picturesque. The combination of the old stonework, the fresh green of the hills and the colourful flowers in the foreground makes this shot not only a reminder of a historic place, but also a source of peace and inspiration.
