Mill, Waardenburg, The Netherlands
Polder mill Waardenburg is a polder mill built in 1867 in Waardenburg in the Dutch municipality of Neerijnen. It is the successor of an earlier burned-down mill. The mill's task was to help keep the basins in the area dry, which were very soggy and could hardly be cultivated. The mill has never been inhabited. A separate home was added for the miller.
The water is moved by means of three screw pumps, which can be switched on individually or together. These pumps were built in 1927 and replace the earlier paddle wheel. The maximum head is 1 meter.
Since 1961, the polder mill has been used as a grader for the 't Broek nature reserve.
