Mist Gold and Blue by Zen and More

Mist Gold and Blue - This is a living room painting that acts as a silent window into something you recognise without being able to name it. At first glance, it feels like night-time water with streaks of light — broad, vertical brushstrokes that softly fade and then shoot out sharply, as if the paint has a rhythm of its own. The living room painting uses deep, cool blues opposite warm metallics; that contrast creates a kind of warm coolness, exactly the balance you seek in a modern living room. The layers are palpable: thin washes alongside rough, almost grainy spots, as if you were stroking your hand across different landscapes. As a living room painting, it provides tranquillity and depth without dominating; it fills the space with reflection and muted splendour. Looking at the work, you see a dark, almost ink-like area on the left that seeps downwards, more luminous areas on the right and a golden stroke in the middle that ties the image together. These golden accents are not shiny and kitschy, but subtly applied as a diluted metal layer that lights up when the light falls on it differently — which is why the painting works so well above a sofa or in a lounge area: it responds to the room. The artist chose vertical movements and abrasive textures to suggest mist and reflection: scratches here and there, layers of paint worn away, spots where the canvas has room to breathe. Call it an abstract landscape, a reflection or a memory of light — it remains an abstract painting that starts the conversation in any living room without taking over.
