What I like best about this picture is that its yellow eyes show up nicely and go well with the orange glow of the rock.
I took this photo on an excursion in Thailand at a Buddha temple. Here hundreds of monkeys, big and small, were walking around doing their own thing. This place is in southern Thailand, a 2.5-hour drive from Ao nang.
The photo was difficult to take, as I didn't want to get bitten by the somewhat large monkeys protecting their little ones (which unfortunately happened to a fellow traveller). Fortunately, I have a lens that can zoom in quite a bit and managed to get this nice picture.
I think this is one of the most beautiful photos's I have ever taken of an animal. Especially because of the sharpness, the colour combinations and the effort I put into it makes me very proud of this. (If I had any space left, I would have hung this one on my wall myself;))
