About ‘Mono Lake, America’ by Ton Bijvank
Mono Lake is a lake in the United States. Created more than 1 million years ago, this lake is one of the oldest lakes in all of North America. It has an area of over 150 km². One of its most striking features is the presence of strangely shaped limestone towers in the water and on the shore. These towers are called tufas.
