It is amazing how Mont Saint Michel has captured the imagination for centuries. After making this picture it started to rain enormously and we got soaking wet! Well ... that too is Brittany!

I came this close to not being involved in photography. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, with the biggest parallax error you could wish for! So I always had pictures of people without heads. I used these cassettes with 12 or 24 photos, black and white (that was cheaper than colour!). I was advised to be economical with this material. I only took a picture if I was sure it was worth it.
