Mother moose with her cub look at you. It is a quiet midsummer night in northern Norway. It is not getting dark. After midnight, mother moose ventures out with her young near a birch forest. She is watchful, as is the little moose. Their ears are wide open.
The flowers faintly in the foreground add some depth to the work.
This image is a good choice for those who love wildlife on the wall. It is an intimate glimpse of summer nightlife in a country where the sun does not set in mid-summer. The light is soft, creating the right atmosphere in this mother and child picture.
This is a breathtaking and natural image of animals photographed not on a tour or in a park but simply in the wild.
A square cutout of this work will also do well on the wall.
Created by Karla Leeftink.
Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist. The Drentsche-Aa region and the Reest valley are ideal for this with their frequently occurring misty landscapes. She also likes the wide open Wadden Sea landscapes and rough Norwegian fjord landscapes. Standing under the stars she is in her element and impressed by creation. In a frozen puddle and on knots of trees she spontaneously sees abstract works of art before her.
At her nature presentations she enthusiastically shares her nature experiences and lets others enjoy them with the help of her photo and video material. She has set up a line of cards with about a hundred cards, in which she has incorporated her own photos. She contributes photos to magazines and is author of the book "Reeën het jaar rond ". (released in 2018)
