This beautiful mountain lake in the Swiss Alps exudes a serene tranquility. During my visit to this location, there was virtually no wind, giving you beautiful reflections on the water. The root stumps of the tree on the left provided a nice foreground. The bit of snow on the tops in the distance further completes the photo. The trees on the left and right create a sort of vista that gives the photo a nice depth of field.
The photo was taken in the fall of 2022. As a result, the trees in the distance turn yellow. These are larch trees, a kind of conifer that lose their needles and provide a kind of Indian summer in the Alps.
