The work was made on a hike to the Sukkertoppen, a mountain in Norway, on the island of Senja. Senja is just above the Lofoten Islands.
It was a climb in the middle of the night through the clouds. Down in the valley, it had been cloudy for several days. Still, during the period when it doesn't get dark at night in Norway, we managed to climb up and escape the clouds. What a magical moment to finally emerge from the clouds!
After the tough climb with full photography gear including tripod, it was good to rest. After some time, the midnight sun emerged from behind the mountains.
With this image in your interior, you can unwind. The silence radiates from it. There are no busy, distracting elements. You are lifted above the clouds, so to speak.
