The impressive panorama of the Allgäu Alps rises up in majestic silence, photographed from the 2,037 metre-high Fellhorn. The peaks of the Allgäu's main ridge line up like stone sentinels and paint a picture full of rugged beauty and alpine grandeur. The striking Trettachspitze (2,595 m) towers on the left of the picture, its rugged silhouette standing out sharply against the sky. Next to it towers the mighty Mädelegabel (2,645 m), followed by the Bockkarkopf (2,609 m), whose rocky flanks are criss-crossed by the last snowfields. The Hochfrottspitze (2,649 m), the highest peak in this chain, completes the impressive ensemble - majestic, wild and quiet at the same time.
The contrasts between lush green alpine meadows, rocky outcrops and the bright blue sky are like an ode to the elemental force of nature. Remnants of snow bear witness to the long winter that still lingers up here, while the valley is already glistening in the summer light. The view sweeps over the rugged ridges and deep cirques, losing itself in the depths of the past that shaped these mountains. A moment of humility sets in - in the face of this timeless landscape that calmly tells of eternity.
