About ‘Mountains and Spirals’ by Whale & Sons

Foreground and background flow together in a rhythm of shapes and colours. Large blue spirals roll along the bottom, framed by golden patterns that shine in the light. Behind them are hills composed of orange and red blocks, set brightly and powerfully.

Further back, mountains rise in deep blues and soft greys. Between the ridges is a golden circle shape, like a sun rising just above the horizon.

The composition consists of layers that complement each other: circular movements in the front, angular patterns in the middle and tight contours in the back. Warm and cool, organic and geometric, light and dark - everything works together in one image.

The work is clear and direct. Spirals, blocks and mountains form a colourful landscape that is both dynamic and balanced.
