A work with less colour than usual, but still atmospheric. The branches and roots come from various photo's and have been edited with digital lines. Some of the branches were drawn by me. The woman seems to be dreaming, encapsulated and drifting away on her dreams. This work comes into its own on an otherwise almost empty wall.

As a child, I could spend hours drawing at the kitchen table at home. Later in life, I enjoyed years of artistic training and although I learnt a lot, at some point I detached myself from wanting to conform to artistic dogma because it hindered me. I went back to the way I drew when I was a child, delightfully indulging my fantasies. The only difference is that now I also design digitally.
