About ‘National bird Black-tailed godwit’ by Wendy van der Klift-Bartelings
Our national bird, the black-tailed godwit. What a beautiful bird. The godwit is a wader and a meadow bird. From February, the first godwit's come to the Netherlands to breed. From July/August, they leave again for Africa. This one was in the Binnenveldse Hooilanden, a bird-rich area between Wageningen and Ede.
