This painting breathes England. It has as its base English cottage style colors, English maps, English stamp, English lace, English grass and a little Anna.
Print technique was used, collage technique with mixed media to make it a cohesive whole.
Some of the flowers and leaves you see were (after they dried) glued "onto the painting". Which, when printed, sometimes still allows you to see a glimpse of a shadow of one of the leaves. Which just gives it even more depth.
The painting consists of many lengths so there is always something new to see and you keep looking.
That's how it was when making it. It was a flow of adding and taking away until it was right.
It is the third painting from a series. These paintings combine very nicely with each other. This is the first series created by doing and a flow rather than thinking everything out with my head. That is quite unique for me and that is why this series has won its important place in my heart.
The original is made on canvas with a size of 40 by 50 but of course this can be enlarged and reduced.
