Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Natural stone pattern: orange and grey’ by Katrin Engl

Delicate lines run through the stone, light shades of grey meet warm orange, and some of the patterns are almost reminiscent of an abstract drawing. It is only upon closer inspection that the many small changes in colour and details become visible.

I love capturing such glimpses of nature with my camera whilst travelling. I discovered these stone patterns on Spain’s north coast.

For this series, I deliberately focused on the details. Up close, their patterns become motifs in their own right, which you can look at again and again. I’m fascinated by the fact that no two surfaces are exactly alike, yet the images still seem to belong together as a matter of course.

In an interior setting, the images can stand alone or be arranged as a series to adorn a wall. I find them particularly beautiful in rooms featuring natural materials such as wood, linen or stone. The shades of grey complement the subtle colours in the room, whilst orange adds a warm accent. In this way, the photographs bring a little piece of the Spanish coast indoors – and invite you to discover the beauty in the details.
