About ‘Nature's jewel’ by Anouschka Hendriks

This is a spent umbellifer. The dried curly stalks of the flower enclose a brown leaf. They are covered in ice because the fog froze up that day due to the sub-zero temperatures. this makes the normally unsightly faded flower bud now look like a jewel with diamonds.
