Istanbul really comes alive when the sun goes down. This picture shows the famous Bosphorus Bridge connecting Europe and Asia, bathed in a sea of light. The blue lighting of the bridge contrasts powerfully with the warm glow of the city and the thousands of lights illuminating the skyline. What fascinated me was the contrast between modern city life and Istanbul's historical character, which you can feel everywhere even in the dark.
The inspiration for this photo was the view from one of the higher points in the city, where you can see the busy traffic moving across the bridge like trails of light. The Bosphorus flows calmly below you, while life in the city does not seem to stand still for a moment. It is a place full of dynamism, energy and stories - exactly what I wanted to convey with this image.
