I took this photo on my journey home from Nordkapp. I had spent the previous week in Lofoten and Senja, but hadn't had much luck hunting for the Northern Lights. I had seen auroras again and again, but I always lacked the right motif in the foreground. On my last day north of the Arctic Circle, I finally set up camp near Narvik and was rewarded hours later with the most intense auroras I've ever seen. With the bridge directly below, all I had to do was wait for a passing vehicle and I had my subject.
