About ‘Norway maple against a blue sky’ by Andreas Paul
In the evening light, the deep-red leaves of the blood maple glow against a blue sky. There is only a small depth of field; the eye keeps refocusing and is forced to piece together the whole picture. Our visual habits are subverted. Proportions are lost; the small becomes large, oversized, and defies what we are used to.

As a graphic designer, I also enjoy picking up my camera to take portraits in a professional context, for example, to showcase works of art or to photograph events.
I also enjoy working on personal projects that explore, amongst other things, contrasts, colour perception and visual habits.
