About ‘Norwegian red houses’ by Charlotte Jalvingh
The famous red houses in Lofoten, Norway. The specific red colour is also called falurood and is common in Scandinavia. Historically, this colour was used because the red paint was cheaper than for example white paint. The red colour also happens to contrast beautifully against the white snow.
