About ‘Nuremberg: Heilig-Geist-Spital’ by Thomas Bugdoll
In 1339, the Nuremberg merchant Konrad Groß founded the Heilig-Geist-Spital. The hospital and old people's home was the largest social institution in medieval Germany. The building is picturesquely situated in the Old Town directly on and above the River Pegnitz.
