Öxarárfoss, is a 20 m high waterfall located in Þingvellir, one of three national parks in Iceland. The course of the Öxará river has probably been shifted in order to create this waterfall, to beautify the surroundings and to facilitate access to the water at the annual meeting þing.
In the beginning of the 18th century, in a deep spot of the river just after the waterfall, women who had committed certain crimes were put in a bag and drowned.
Landscape photographer and drone pilot Koen Henderickx will gladly take you on a discovery of the most beautiful places, both close by or a little further away.
His mission is to introduce people to the beauty of nature, from water, the land or in the sky via drones.
