Urban Exploring, or Urbex, is exploring and also photographing old abandoned and dilapidated buildings. Sometimes you come across very special places, where time has really stood still and you step right into the past when you enter such a beautiful old abandoned building. The atmosphere is very intense, you can imagine how people once lived, worked, cried and laughed here. In this abandoned villa, I came across a personal office space, the books, notebooks and other necessities are still on the table, the comfortable chair is still angled in front of it, just so I can sit back down and get on with the administration. The picture on the wall, the old mirror, the mosaic floor and the lack of light through the windows, everything adds something special to the space. The building has been vacant for decades, the shutters are boarded up, lush green ivy grows in through the ceiling and windows, giving the dark space a very surreal atmosphere. A special and atmospheric photo for the wall!
