Old Mayor's House Kerkstraat, Valkenburg aan de Geul

In Valkenburg aan de Geul's Kerkstraat stands the old mayor's house - a building that reflects the soul of the town. Constructed of soft marlstone, it exudes warmth and history. Every stone seems to tell a story: of government and village life, of times when peace, order and trades determined the streetscape.

In the changing Limburg light, the house comes to life differently each time. In the morning it is bathed in a bright glow, while the evening sun turns the façade golden and shadows dance along the windows. The texture of the marlstone captures the light in a way that only occurs here soft, lively and full of character.

Church Street itself forms the backdrop of a timeless scene: narrow streets, cobblestones that whisper stories, and the smell of old walls that hold the warmth of the day. The mayor's house stands there as a silent witness to the past, firmly rooted in Valkenburg's history.

This sculpture is an ode to heritage and silence to the beauty of days gone by that continues to breathe in the present. A piece of Limburg's soul, captured in stone, light and memory.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
