About ‘Old Stove’ by Julian Buijzen

On your way to Liege you pass the forgotten village of Cheratte. The village is a perfect example of vegan glory from the past. The skyline consists of a closed coal mine and its monument.

Still, the place hasn't been eaten by everyone. Urbexers come in large numbers to the coal mine known as one of the Urbex Mecca's of Europe.

While all the other photographers visited the mine we thought it was time for a walk through the village. So we ended up at Chateau Cheratte. A large villa on the outskirts of Cheratte from the 17th century (probably, because we don't know for sure).

The house turns out to have belonged to the director of the mine who must have lived here in all luxury.

Despite the fact that the house still looks in reasonable condition on the outside, it was unfortunately a lost cause inside. Ceilings had collapsed, windows and doors were broken and the weeds in the garden were up to your waist.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
