Wandering around la Rochelle, I came across this fantastic, cheerful old wall, a lively street scene. Art on a worn-out facade. Plastered and painted, you are short of eyes to see it all. Signs and text mixed with colourful patterns. Even the drainpipe is painted and covered with colourful stickers. Even the double wooden doors are plastered and described.
La Rochelle is in France on the coast, on the Bay of Biscay. It is a busy town with big towers around the harbour.
Even in duotone with sepia, it is an interesting picture because of contrasts, textures and shapes.
