This picture shows a weathered wall from an abandoned place, often referred to as a "lost place".
The plaster has crumbled away in many places, revealing the stones underneath and giving the picture a fascinating texture.
The originally white plastered walls are now dirty and riddled with cracks, reflecting the age and neglect of the place. The colours on the wall are varied and tell their own story. From the bright white of the remaining plaster to the grey and brown shades of the exposed stones to the rusty red and orange tones that come from decay. Some areas are discoloured green by moss and algae, others show traces of old layers of paint shining through in shades of blue and yellow. Different shades of colour resulting from the decay of the building fabric lend the picture a unique and picturesque quality. Ideal for lovers of urban exploration and those who see the beauty in decay. Perfect for decorating living spaces, offices or galleries to create an atmosphere of history and mystery.
