Régi Szélmalom and Tési szélmalmok
és is one of the most important settlements of the Bakony Mountains, it is located on the largest plateau of the East Bakony at an altitude of 465 meters. The number of inhabitants has always been about 900. According to the legend, the village got its name from King Matthias, who spent a lot of time in Várpalota. On one of these occasions he located prisoners on the hill, which was supposedly the habitat of bears at that time. When selecting prisoners, he kept repeating "You too, you too", which means in Hungarian "Te is mész, te is mész, te is, te is". The name of the village, Tés, came from the contraction of "te is". Of course, this is only a fairy tale, in fact the origin of the village name is unknown.
