About ‘Olive grove by the beach’ by Nop Briex

Paxos. A gem in the Greek Ionian Sea. Beloved by many visitors who care deeply for nature and cherish it. Island lovers who appreciate authenticity and complete tranquillity. This brave little island, once created by the Greek god Poseidon, remains unspoilt and untouched by mass tourism, simply because there is no trace of mass entertainment to be found here.

In Greek mythology, Poseidon is the god of water, the sea, horses and earthquakes. He is one of the Olympian gods and the brother of the supreme god Zeus. The god is known for his stern character and for the trident he always holds in his hand. He received the trident from the Cyclopes (one-eyed giants) and it is therefore the symbol of Paxos. Incidentally, the Roman equivalent of this deity is Neptune.

During my first visit to Paxos in 1987, I ended up in the fishing village of Loggos. I have been going there regularly ever since. The island is small but offers a surprising number of lovely and interesting sites. I was inspired by the beautiful bays, olive groves, picturesque villages, abandoned mills and local cottages. The painting you see here depicts an olive grove laid out on terraced slopes above Marmari Beach, near the village of Loggos. Can you imagine the chirping of the cicadas and the scent of olive wood in the blazing sun? At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
