About "Oostmahorn lighthouse"

About the artwork

Oostmahorn lighthouse just after sunset. I had driven to Friesland on a beautiful evening in spring to try to capture the Northern Lights. I had a location in mind for this but as it was still too light I first drove to Oostmahorn to photograph the lighthouse there. I had wanted to capture this lighthouse ever since I started photographing and since I was reasonably close by, I did what I could. The lighthouse is not that big and when I climbed the ladder to stand on the scaffolding to take the picture, it was not easy. I wanted to shoot from a tripod because I wanted the composition to be as symmetrical as possible, but you don't have much room to put your tripod down, just the three planks of the scaffolding and the railings, and then very carefully because you're above the water of the Lauwersmeer. In the end I succeeded with 1 leg of the tripod on the planks and 2 legs on the railing. Just after sunset, the light in the lighthouse went on, adding extra atmosphere to this photo. This version is in a Sepia shade. All in all, very satisfied and hope to have a nice place on your wall.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
