The Oradour-sur-Glane Massacre took place on 10 June 1944 in the French town of Oradour-sur-Glane. The village was surrounded and eventually destroyed that day by the first regiment 'Der Führer' of the 2. SS-Panzer-Division Das Reich. In this raid, 642 people were killed.
