The dahlia is my favourite flower. It is so photogenic. Even though the flower is quite symmetrical, yet all flowers are different. That makes every photo so unique.
The light shade of orange in this photo stands out well against the dark background.
I took the photo this autumn at the Bloemenpark Appeltern. It was very misty that day and you can see many fine dewdrops on the dahlias. If you look closely, you can also see very fine threads of a spider's web in the photo.
At Bloemenpark Appeltern, lots of dahlias bloom in autumn. You see them in all sorts of shapes and colours. I always love going there to walk around and take photos.
